In response the recent devastation from the Midland flood, Midland’s Open Door has deployed our outreach team to assist flood victims who have been relocated to a local hotel and other temporary housing. Many of these families and individuals were living in low income rental properties and have an inadequate network of support… or no support at all.
We are continuing to provide over 135 grab-and-go meals to our community through our soup kitchen, six days a week. Whether displaced by the flood or helping with the relief effort, everyone is welcome! We are also coordinating a community-wide clothing distribution scheduled for those who needs after the flood.
If you’ve wondered how you can support the hurting in our community who’ve suffered as a result of job loss, the coronavirus and the flood waters that have devastated so many, please consider giving to Open Door.
