Tax laws in the United States and the State of Michigan require Midland’s Open Door to keep donor contact information and contribution level on file to ensure financial transparency. Access to donor financial and payment information is strictly limited to professional staff and vetted volunteers of Midland’s Open Door assisting with donation processing and data entry. All physical donor records are locked in a secure file cabinet, and all digital donor information is stored on a secure server.
Midland’s Open Door does not store your credit card information or other account data provided to our processing service in online giving transactions. Financial credentials for recurring or previous donations are held by the processing service and are not available to employees or consultants of Midland’s Open Door.
Any policy changes will be disclosed on this webpage and dated for future reference.
